Vero Systems, Inc. Seamlessly Deploys Margin Assurance Solution for Tier 1 VoIP Network

Howell, NJ – September 6, 2005 – Vero Systems, Inc. (www.verosystems.com), an industry leader in Margin Assurance solutions for the telecommunications industry, today announced the completion of a recent network redesign for a major Tier 1 North American VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) carrier through the implementation of Vero’s Acuité software suite.

The project redesigned the existing VoIP architecture to a more efficient design that better utilizes the benefits of a true IP based infrastructure.  The fully automated conversion processed more than 160,000 separate routing instructions to ‘flash cut’ the network to the new design.  Working in lockstep with the carrier, the Vero Systems professional services team was able to implement this improved network architecture without interrupting network operations or dropping any voice traffic.

Another significant change for the carrier was the simultaneous deployment of a highly granular “Jurisdictional” call routing program.  Vero’s Jurisdictional routing technology separates intrastate and interstate VoIP traffic, to optimally route each call type in terms of on-net and off-net call path selection.  A carrier might normally route based upon a blended termination rate for its VoIP traffic within a given state; instead, the Vero Systems team built separate, cost optimized routing plans for all intrastate and interstate switches for this Tier 1 VoIP carrier customer.  The combination of Vero’s Acuité software suite, plus the network engineering expertise of its professional staff allowed construction of an optimized VoIP-based wide area network that provides this carrier with additional profit margin each month in the six-to-seven figure range.
