AcuRoute
Automated Optimal Cost Call Routing Translations
Challenges currently faced by carriers include the slow and costly
process of manually updating switches and the difficulty in adapting to
pricing and ICP rate changes. AcuRate elegantly and effectively solves
these issues and generates cost-cutting opportunities.
AcuRoute receives the output of AcuRate and then incorporates additional core
routing functions in order to finalize the Optimal Cost Routing Model (OCRM) for
insertion into the network routing tables. AcuRoute
converts the OCRM into the native language of the different network
elements throughout the client's network and then can automatically
input the results into the network.
Some of the additional core routing capabilities handled by AcuRoute
include automatically building Local Exchange Routing Guide
(“LERG”) translations to reflect the latest NPA / NXX
activity. These include splits, switch activations and
deactivations as well as tandem re-homes. By automating these
tasks and by standardizing
translations across all network switches, AcuRoute helps to minimize
routing problems which results in improved customer satisfaction
and improved
margins.
With AcuRoute, carriers significantly reduce the time required to
update switches with the latest OCRMs thus enabling them to increase the
frequency and volume of pricing / routing updates, rapidly capitalize
on cost-reduction opportunities, negate problem points before they
impact network performance, and accelerate utilization of new
facilities. Furthermore, by automating the work of network
operations personnel, carriers can
avoid costly and error-prone manual inputs, standardize switch code and
routing plans across their network and reduce administrative overhead
costs. This allows existing personnel to spend less time
keypunching routing into switches and more time analyzing network cost
and quality pain points.
